Welcome to PhotoKTM5’s access guide. We are committed to making the festival accessible and inclusive as much as possible. The festival has volunteers in every venue who will provide assistance whenever necessary and we also have other accessibility features such as sign language interpreters, QR code text file for exhibit captions, and large print documents.

Getting to the Venue
- The following Google map link will be helpful for you to reach the different venues of the exhibition: shorturl.at/hwCIW. A more detailed set of directions to each venue is described below.
General access information about the exhibition venues:
- The introduction texts for each exhibition are available in .docs format for text-to-speech users via QR codes.
- Closed captions are available for audio-visual content.
- Volunteers will be present in each venue for your assistance.
- Upon your request, we will make arrangements for Nepali Sign Language (NSL) interpreters. Kindly fill our Access Form *linked here* to let us know your access requirements. Please make requests for NSL interpreters a few days in advance.
- Unfortunately, wheelchair access is difficult and not available all together in most exhibition venues.
- The designated parking spot for the festival is on the grounds of Patan Multiple Campus.

Patan House: Exhibition Venue 1
Patan House is our main Festival Hub. Patan House premises include:
- Coffee on the ground floor.
- Festival shop on the ground floor.
- Exhibition space on the first floor.
- All gender restrooms on the first floor.
- A few two wheelers can be parked in the small chowk in front of Patan House. There is also parking space available beside the entrance to Dhaugal Bazar. The designated parking spot for the festival is on the grounds of Patan Multiple Campus.
- Car parking is available at Dhaubahal Stupa which is on the left of Satya Mohan Joshi Marg. Please note you cannot take a right turn here.
On the ground floor of Patan House, you will be able to buy yourself coffee and festival merchandise along with books. The exhibition space for Patan House lies on the first floor of the building which is only accessible through stairs. There are three steps before the entrance and then a sliding door track. On the first floor, Alana Hunt’s A Very Clear Picture is being exhibited and on the ground floor is Drawing From Nature by Hemlata Pradhan and Himalayan Institute of Natural History Art.
The wall beside the Entrance to Dhaugal Bazar also showcases some of our street installations by Hemlata Pradhan. Don’t miss out!
How to get to Patan House?
There are two main ways to get there.
From Patan Dhoka, Patan House is about 650 meters away. From Patan Dhoka head straight towards Ganesh Mandir. Along the way you will find A.T Burger. When you reach Ganesh Mandir, take a slight right. Soon, you will reach Pimbahal Pokhari. As you cross Pimbahal Pokhari, take the second alley on the left towards Dhaugal. Keep walking, and you will find Patan House on your left.
From Patan Durbar Square, Patan House is about 400 meters away. From the entrance of Patan Durbar Square, head northeast on Satya Mohan Joshi Marg toward Yala Layaku Marg. You will find Cafe De Patan on your left. Keep walking straight till you reach Himalayan Bank ATM. Take a right to Bhulkhu Ajima Marg. Keep walking and take your first left to Dhaugal Road. Patan House will be on your left.
Bahadur Shah Baithak: Exhibition Venue 2
Bahadur Shah Baithak premises includes:
- One restroom on the ground floor.
- Exhibition on the ground floor and second floor.
- Paid parking for two wheelers in front of Bahadur Shah Baithak.
How to get to Bahadur Shah Baithak?
Bahadur Shah Baithak lies to the north of Patan Museum behind Manga Hiti. It is located 300 meters away from Patan House. You will be able to spot the exhibition location through festival signage as well. Nearby landmarks are Adarsha Kanya Niketan Higher Secondary School and NPP Burger House. There is one restroom inside the Bahadur Shah Baithak Building on the ground floor. Paid parking for two wheelers is available just outside the premises. You can also find a public restroom opposite of Himalayan Java Cafe, 290 meters away from Bahadur Shah Baithak.

Khapinchhen: Exhibition Venue 3
Khapinchhen premises includes:
- 1 public male female restroom on the left side of the chowk.
- 2 restrooms on the second floor.
- Exhibition Space on the second floor.
How to get to Khapinchhen?
Khapinchhen is located 650 meters east of Patan House. Head straight from Patan House towards the Durbar Square area, passing by Dhaugal Bazar, towards Adarsha Kanya Niketan Higher Secondary School. Keep walking till you reach Walkhu Ganesh Temple. Take a right after passing the Ganesh Temple. Keep walking till you reach a cross section. Take a left and you should find the Khapinchhen Pukhu on your right. Keep walking on the Pukhu lane and you should find signage for the Khapinchhen exhibition venue.
There are three exhibitions being showcased in Khapinchhe –– What Plants Were Called Before They Had a Name by Uriel Orlow; Indigenous Knowledge Portal by KTK-Belt and As We Know Them : Bird Names in Tharu by DB Chaudhary
Gallery MCube: Exhibition Venue 4
Gallery MCube premises includes
- 1 restroom on the left side of the bottom floor.
- No parking in the premises but cars and bikes can be parked in the grounds of Patan Multiple Campu
- A cafe on the left side of the entrance.
- A rest spot on the bottom floor towards the right.
- Top and bottom floor of the gallery accessible by metal stairs outside of the building.
How to get to Gallery MCube?
Gallery MCube is located 300 meters away towards the north east of Patan Dhoka. From Patan Dhoka, head towards the District Post Office and take a right towards EK Solutions. Keep heading straight then take the first left and first right after the open ground. You will be able to spot Gallery MCube through the festival signage as well.
There are two exhibitions being showcased at Gallery MCube –– Seed Shall Set us Free by Munem Wasif and Ikamo Tlalli – Earthless by Monica Alcázar-Duarte
Namkha: Exhibition Venue 5
Namkha premises includes:
- Exhibition space through the entrance.
- No restrooms available.
- No parking in the premises but cars can be parked if you head towards the Baglamukhi temple and take a right and bike parking is available on the left side of Baglamukhi temple. Parking is at your own risk.
How to get to Namkha?
There are two routes to get to Namkha. Opposite of the Baglamukhi temple, you will find Baglamukhi Pet Shop in a corner. Take the road by the pet shop towards Nagbahal. The exhibition venue is on the third right lane from the pet shop.
The second route is from Patan House. Head east 150 meters from Patan House passing Dhaugal Bazar then take a left. Walk around 300 meters past Golden Temple on the way towards Baglamukhi Temple. Namkha exhibition venue should be on your left. You will be able to spot the venue through festival signage as well.
There are three exhibitions being showcased at Namkha; Jatayu by Prasiit Sthapit and Shristi Shrestha and Searching for the European Roller by Hillside Projects and an open-house of the outcomes by the Residency participants.
Chyasal Hiti: Exhibition Venue 6
- 2 restrooms on the ground floor
- 3 restrooms on the first floor
- One public restroom outside
- No parking
- Exhibition space on the ground floor and first floor
How to get to Chyasal Hiti?
There are many routes to visit our exhibition venue in Chyasal. From Balkumari Ring Road, head towards NIST college, crossing Balkumari Temple and Jyapu Pragya Bhawan. Keep heading the same direction till you reach Chyasal Gate. You will find our exhibition about 20 meters ahead to your right.
From our venue in Khapinchhen,head north till you reach Chyasa Hiti.Here you will find several falchas and temples. Our exhibition venue is located towards your right.
There are three exhibitions being showcased at Chyasal hiti; Minmini by Sriram Murali, Chimmeki Chara and Feather Library by Esha Munshi

खापिं छें पाटन हाउसबाट ६५० मिटर पूर्वमा छ । पाटन हाउसबाट पाटन दरबार क्षेत्र तिर लाग्नुहोस् । धौगल बजार कटेपछि आदर्श कन्या निकेतन उच्च माध्यमिक विद्यालय तिर लाग्नुहोस् र वाल्खु गणेश मन्दिर सम्म सिधै हिँड्नुहोस् । मन्दिर कटेपछि दाहिनेतिर लाग्नुहोस् र एउटा चौरास्ता सम्म हिँड्नुहोस् । त्यहाँबाट देब्रे लिनुहोस् । खापिं छें पुखु तपाईंको दाहिनेतिर छ । पुखु पथमा केहि समय हिँडेपछि खापिं छें प्रदर्शनी स्थलको साइनबोर्ड देख्नुहुनेछ ।

ग्यालरी एम-क्युब पाटनढोकाबाट ३०० मिटर उत्तर-पूर्वमा छ । पाटनढोकाबाट जिल्ला हुलाक कार्यालय तिर लाग्नुहोस् र दाहिने मोडिएर इके सलुसन्स तिर लाग्नुहोस् । केहि समय सिधै हिँड्नुहोस् र एक खुला चौर कटेपछि पहिलो देब्रेपट्टिको अनि त्यसपछि पहिलो दाहिनेपट्टिको बाटो लिनुहोस् । प्रदर्शनीको लागि भनेर राखिएको साइनबोर्ड हेरेर पनि ग्यालरी एम-क्युब भेट्टाउन सक्नुहुनेछ ।

नम्खा परिसरमा के के छन्?
- प्रवेशद्वार छिरेपछि प्रदर्शनी स्थान
- शौचालय उपलब्ध छैन
- परिसरमा पार्किङ्ग सुविधा छैन तर बगलामुखी मन्दिरको दाहिनेपट्टि गाडी र देब्रेपट्टि मोटरसाइकल पार्क गर्न सक्क्नुहुन्छ । पार्किङ्गको जोखिम भने आफैले लिनुपर्नेछ ।
नम्खा कसरी पुग्ने ?
नम्खा दुईतिर बाट पुग्न सकिन्छ । बगलामुखी मन्दिर पारिको कुनामा बगलामुखी पेट शप छ । त्यसको छेउको बाटोबाट नागबाहाल तिर लाग्नुहोस् । दाहिने जाने तेस्रो बाटोमा प्रदर्शनी स्थल छ ।
नम्खा पुग्ने अर्को बाटो पाटन हाउसबाट हो । पाटन हाउसबाट १५० मिटर पूर्व जानुहोस् र धौगल बजार कटेपछि देब्रे मोडिनुहोस् । स्वर्ण मन्दिर हुँदै बगलामुखी मन्दिर जाने बाटोमा ३०० मिटर जति हिँड्नुहोस् । तपाईंको देब्रेपट्टि प्रदर्शनी स्थल छ । मेलाको लागि भनेर राखिएको साइनबोर्ड हेरेर पनि नम्खा : प्रदर्शनी स्थल भेट्टाउन सक्नुहुनेछ ।

पाटन हाउस हाम्रो मुख्य प्रदर्शनी स्थल हो ।
पाटन हाउस परिसरमा के के छन् ?
- भुइँतल्लामा कफी पसल
- भुइँतल्लामा अन्य सामानहरुको पसल
- पहिलो तल्लामा प्रदर्शनी स्थान (सिंढीबाट मात्रै जान सकिने)
- पहिलो तल्लामा शौचालय (सबै लिङ्गका मानिसले प्रयोग गर्न मिल्ने)
- पाटन हाउस अगाडिको सानो चोक मा केहि दुई पाङ्ग्रे सवारी साधन पार्क गर्न सकिने
- धौगल बजार छिर्ने बाटोमा पनि पार्क गर्न सकिने
- प्रदर्शनीको लागि छुट्टयाइएको पार्किङ्ग स्थल पाटन बहुमुखी क्याम्पसको हाता भित्र हो।
- धौबाहल स्तुपा नजिक गाडी पार्क गर्न सकिने । यो सत्य मोहन जोशी मार्गमा छ । कृपया याद गर्नुस् कि यहाँबाट दाहिने मोड्न मिल्दैन ।
- पहिलो तल्लामा अलाना हन्टको काम प्रदर्शनीमा

पाटन हाउस कसरी पुग्ने ?
पाटन हाउस पुग्ने दुई तरिका छन् ।
पाटन हाउस पाटन ढोकाबाट ६५० मिटरको दूरीमा छ । पाटन ढोकाबाट गणेश मन्दिर तिर लाग्नुहोस् । बाटोमा ए टी बर्गर देख्न सक्नुहुन्छ। गणेश मन्दिरबाट दाहिने लाग्नुस् । केहि समय हिंडे पछि पिम्बाहाल पोखरी पुग्नुहुनेछ । पोखरी कटेपछि देब्रेपट्टिको दोस्रो (धौगल जाने) गल्लि लिनुहोस् । केहि समय पछि देब्रेपट्टि पाटन हाउस देख्नुहुनेछ।
पाटन हाउस पुग्ने अर्को बाटो पाटन दरबार क्षेत्रबाट हो । दरबार क्षेत्रबाट पाटन हाउस करिव ४०० मिटरको दूरीमा छ । दरबार क्षेत्रको उत्तर–पूर्वमा रहेको सत्य मोहन मार्ग हुँदै यल लयाकु मार्ग तिर लाग्नुहोस् । देब्रे पट्टि क्याफे द पाटन देख्नुहुनेछ । हिमालयन बैंक को ए टी एम सम्म सिधै जानुहोस् । दाहिने मोडिनुहोस् र केहि समय भुल्कु अजिमा मार्गमा अगाडि बढ्नुहोस् । देब्रे पट्टिको दोस्रो गल्लि (धौगल जाने) लिनुहोस् । केहि समयमा देब्रे पट्टि पाटन हाउस देख्नु हुनेछ।
च्यासल : प्रदर्शनी स्थल ६
च्यासल परिसर मा के के छन् ?
- भुइँतल्लामा दुई शौचालय
- पहिलो तल्लामा तीन शौचालय
- बाहिर एक सार्वजनिक शौचालय

च्यासल कसरी पुग्ने ?
च्यासल पुग्ने विभिन्न बाटो छन् ।
बालकुमारी चक्रपथबाट निस्ट कलेज तिर लाग्नुहोस् । बाटोमा बालकुमारी मन्दिर र ज्यापु प्रज्ञा भवन देख्नुहुनेछ । च्यासल गेट सम्म सिधै अगाडि बढ्नुहोस् । प्रदर्शनी स्थल २० मिटर अगाडि दाहिनेपट्टि देख्नुहुनेछ।
च्यासल प्रदर्शनी स्थल पुग्ने अर्को बाटो खापिं छेंबाट हो । खापिं छें हाम्रो अर्को प्रदर्शनी स्थल हो । खापिं छेंबाट उत्तर लाग्नुहोस् र च्यासा हिटी पुग्नुहोस् , जहाँ तपाईंले विभिन्न फाल्चा र मन्दिर देख्नुहुनेछ । दाहिनेपट्टि प्रदर्शनी स्थल छ ।
