Easy one day walks

Want to get out of the the city and explore the surrounding nature? Loads of options here. On the southside, you can get a taxi or bus to Godawari, and either spend some time in the botanical gardens or hike up to Pulchowki, the highest hill in the area. Another option is to make your way to Hattiban Resort (taxi is easiest) and hike to Champadevi. Either take a taxi back, or walk all the way down the hill to the main road.

Northside offers Shivapuri National Park, where the source of the Bagmati river lies. Lots of options to walk around – get a map (or use OpenStreetMaps), fill up your water bottle and get some snacks and enjoy a day in the park.
