Hillside Projects is an artistic collaboration between Emily Berry Mennerdahl and Jonas Böttern based in Stockholm (SE). Situated within a conceptual framework their work explores tales of disappearances in the natural world and the interrelated socio-political narratives that arise through these tales. Their work encompasses site-specific installations alongside video, text, sound, publications as well as walking and performance.
Jonas Böttern (b.1977 Sweden) has an MFA from Konstfack – University of Arts, Crafts and Design, Stockholm 2016. Berry Mennerdahl (b.1980) has an MFA from Concordia University, Montréal (CA) 2009. Hillside Projects’ videos are distributed by Vidéographe Montréal and Filmform Sweden. Their most recent exhibitions and screenings include Röda Sten konsthall (SE), Bonniers konsthall (SE), Clark House Initiative (IND) and Dazibao, Montréal (CA). They are currently pursuing the curatorial project DEMOCRACY – THE ENDANGERED BIRD funded by The Swedish Arts Council
