The birds in this exhibition are our neighbourhood birds from around Nepal. Unmanaged urbanisation, human population increase, and pollution has decreased bird population in general, yet the birds in this exhibition are very much around us – chirping inside bushes, calling out in the dark of the night, swooping down from the sky, wading on marshes. We see our non-human friends live full and exciting lives, if we pay attention to them. Where do they live? Do we know their names? What songs do they sing?

Look closely, maybe you will meet some of them on your terrace tonight. Or they might be singing outside your window early tomorrow morning. The more we look, the more we see. The more we know, the more we care.
