Joyeeta Roy is an accomplished photojournalist based in Dhaka. After completing her Master's degree in 2007, she earned a diploma from the renowned photography school Pathshala based in Dhaka.
Currently, she serves as a Senior Photojournalist for the national daily newspaper, Bangladesh Pratidin, a role held since 2010. she covers major events such as the Rana Plaza tragedy, the Rohingya influx, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the student-led protests of July and August 2024 in Bangladesh.
Her work also includes extensive coverage of various natural disasters, environmental issues, and other significant events.
