Enuma Rai is a multimedia storyteller who comes from the tribal community of Buipa, Khotang, in eastern Nepal. Through film, photography, and writing, Enuma likes to focus on the lives of ordinary people and to share stories of nature and culture.

With a master’s degree in rural development, Enuma has previously worked as a content researcher, audio recordist and producer for “Herne Katha”. In 2023, she directed her first non-fiction short film “Jarna”. During the 2024 International Storytelling Workshop, she developed “Enu-Ma”, a photo story about her grandmother that explores her own unforgettable childhood. 

Enuma lives in Lalitpur and is currently working on her next short documentary film. She also regularly writes on her blog.
