Annabelle Lacour

Annabelle Lacour is the curator of the photographic collection at musée du quai Branly-Jacques-Chirac, where she’s been working since 2018. She is also co-curator of the exhibition Ouvrir l'album du monde, Photographies 1842-1911 (musée du quai Branly-Jacques Chirac, April 2023) and co-director of the publication Mondes photographiques, histoires des débuts. She previously coordinated numerous exhibitions for the Louvre Abu Dhabi and the Centre Pompidou-Metz. Her research work has focused on Gaëtan Gatian de Clérambault's photographs in Morocco in 1918-1919, early photography outside Europe and the history of photography in Asia and the Pacific. She is the author of several contributions in A World History of Women Photographers, edited by Luce Lebart and Marie Robert (2020). She has also conducted artist interviews for the exhibition catalog A toi appartient le regard et la liaison infinie entre les choses (2020). She coordinates the Photographic Award of musée du quai-Branly Jacques Chirac and is a member of the jury.
