Dipu Malakar (born 1992, Old Dhaka) is a professional Bangladeshi photojournalist and currently serves as a Staff Photojournalist at Prothom Alo, one of the leading national dailies in Bangladesh.
He began his career in 2013 with Focus Bangla News Agency and has since covered many of the country’s most significant news events. A graduate in Communication and Media Studies from the University of Development Alternative (UODA), Dipu’s work captures the depth and dynamism of Bangladesh’s social and political landscape.
His photographs have been published by AP, AFP, BBC, CNN, Al Jazeera, Voice of America, Deutsche Welle, The Quiet American Magazine, and major Bangladeshi newspapers.
