Taslima Akhter is a Dhaka-based activist and photographer. For over 17 years, Akhter has been deeply involved in labor and feminist movements, advocating for the rights and dignity of garment workers. She is the president of Bangladesh Garment Sramik Samhati and a lecturer of photojournalism at Pathshala. As a member of the Labor Reform Commission, Akhter continues to confront inequality and empower working-class communities in Bangladesh. She was awarded the Begum Rokeya Padak in 2024 for her achievements in advancing women's rights.
