Isadora Romero is an Ecuadorian photographer and visual artist whose work moves between documentary photography, contemporary art, and collaborative research. Her practice focuses on social and environmental justice, with a particular emphasis on food sovereignty and territorial memory from documentary, symbolic, and poetic perspectives. She works through long-term, site-specific processes that combine archival material, visual experimentation, and collective creation. Romero is the cofounder of RUDA, a collective of Latin American women photographers, and her work has been recognized by World Press Photo, Les Rencontres d’Arles, POY Latam, the Prince Claus Fund, Magnum Foundation, and National Geographic. She has exhibited in Ecuador and internationally, and has undertaken artistic residencies in Antarctica, Mexico, and Luxembourg. She is the author of Moving, to See You and coauthor of Siete Punto Ocho (Seven Point Eight).
